What does impact mean to you?

To me, impact means that we have changed even one person’s life in a way that positively influences their whole family for generations and the community around them.

What has been your biggest leadership learning in your business, family or community?

I have learned the power of HOPE! When we choose to be hopeful, we can see solutions, have the courage to take action, and attract much greater influence.

What Leadership advice would you give your younger self?

You are more powerful when you are authentic. Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable, to admit you don’t have all the answers, or to ask for help.

What is the difference between a good and an extraordinary leader?

Good leaders have vision. Extraordinary leaders have the ability to clearly articulate and impart vision, so that others are willing to dedicate their lives to it.

When hiring for new leadership positions within your organisation, what main qualities do you look for?

I look for shared core values. Even if leaders have all the right skills and experiences, if their core values don’t align with us they will undermine our culture and performance.

What is your biggest Leadership accomplishment to date?

Developing Project Bridge – an innovative approach to addressing the problem of children stuck in foster care, so that they can grow up in safe, loving, and permanent families.
