Since our urgent appeal two weeks ago, we have been overwhelmed by encouraging messages and support sent from all over the world. We still have a long way to go, but your generosity makes us hopeful. Almost 500 people responded with gifts of all sizes and we heard amazing stories, including:
- Children who donated their birthdays and teenagers who gave their babysitting money;
- Families who gave because their own family or friends were adopted or fostered;
- People impacted directly by COVID-19 who still chose to give; and
- So many creative ideas to raise money! People held bootcamps, auctioned favourite sports memorabilia, sold reusable water bottles, and so much more…
We are almost halfway to our goal, and we still need help. We know this is a challenging time for everyone, so if you are not be able to make a financial gift at this time, please share our message with others in your community.
